About Internal Cast
Most company updates go unread.
Not because people don't care - they do. But a wall of text in Notion or a recording of a 40-minute all-hands is easy to skip when you're in the middle of actual work. People miss things. They fall behind. They nod along in meetings while quietly wondering what they missed last week.
We noticed that when people heard about something - really heard it, in someone's voice, in a format they could listen to on a walk or during lunch - they remembered it. They felt more connected to what was happening. The information landed differently.
That's the gap Internal Cast fills.
What we built
Internal Cast takes your written content - a product update, a policy change, a weekly note from leadership, a knowledge base article - and turns it into a private podcast episode your team can actually listen to.
It's not a recording tool. You don't need a microphone. You paste text (or upload a PDF or document), review the generated script, make edits, and produce audio in minutes. Episodes go out via a private RSS feed, a web player with invite-only access, or the Internal Cast iOS app.
You can use a built-in voice, or clone a voice from your team - a founder's voice for leadership updates, an HR lead's voice for benefits explanations - so episodes feel like they came from a real person, not a robot.
Why audio
Written updates have a completion problem. Even good ones.
Audio is different. People listen during commutes, walks, lunch. They finish episodes. A 4-minute podcast covering the same ground as a 600-word Notion page gets more attention, more retention, and more of a sense that something actually happened at the company this week.
For distributed teams - people in different time zones, on different schedules - async audio is one of the few formats that works without requiring everyone to be in the same place at the same time.
How it works
- Upload or paste your content
- Review and edit the AI-generated script
- Choose a voice (built-in or cloned from your team)
- Generate audio
- Share via private RSS, web player, or iOS app
No subscriptions to podcast hosting platforms. No recording setup. No editing software.
Privacy
Internal Cast is built for internal use, which means privacy matters.
The web player and iOS app are invite-only - only people you add to your workspace can access episodes. The RSS link isn't listed publicly anywhere, but anyone with it can subscribe in a third-party podcast app, so treat it like a password. You can also choose to publish a podcast publicly if that's what you need.
The site itself is cookie-free with anonymous analytics. We don't sell data. Full details in the Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.
